Product Description
An internal M.2 NVMe SSD with a heatsink already installed. Designed to expand the storage of your PlayStation 5, laptop, or desktop without needing to buy anything else. Select how much space you need above under Size.
Fits the PS5 and meets Sony's requirements:
Sony has three requirements for an expansion SSD: it must be an M.2 NVMe drive in the 2280 form factor, it must have a read speed of at least 5500 MB/s, and it must have its own heatsink. The XR75 meets all three. Slide it into the expansion slot, and the PS5 will format it automatically. After that, you can install your games on it or play them directly from the drive.
Also suitable for a laptop or PC:
Any laptop, desktop, or all-in-one with an available M.2 NVMe slot can use it. The design is single-sided, so all chips are located on one side. This keeps the height down and is exactly what you need in a thin laptop.
The heatsink is already installed:
An NVMe drive that works hard gets hot, and a drive that gets too hot throttles its own speed. That's why it has a cooling layer made of graphene and aluminum foil, with a thermally conductive top layer. It is 3.4 mm high at its thickest point, well within the limits of a PS5 or laptop. So you don't need to buy anything extra or install anything yourself.
Install it yourself in just a few minutes:
The screw and a Phillips #1 screwdriver are included in the box, along with a manual containing instructions in Dutch. Open the cover, loosen the screw, insert the drive, and tighten the screw. You don't need any other tools.
Choose the size based on what you do with it:
Modern games are 50 to 150 GB each. With 1 TB, you have room for around ten large titles; with 2 TB, twice as many; and 4 TB is intended for those who want to keep a large library or use the drive for work rather than gaming. For video editing and 3D work, the largest size is usually the sensible choice, because an SSD becomes slower when it is nearly full.

Three things people often ask about
The usable space is slightly smaller than the stated capacity. Some of the space is used by the file system. This applies to every SSD, hard drive, and memory card. It is not a shortfall, but simply how storage is measured.
PCIe 4.0 reaches its full speed only in a PCIe 4.0 slot. If your drive is installed in an older PCIe 3.0 slot, it will work normally, but its speed will be approximately half as high. That is still considerably faster than a SATA SSD.
The stated speeds are peak speeds. The speed you achieve in practice depends on your device, the type of files, and how full the drive is. One large video file transfers much faster than a thousand small files, and a drive that is nearly full will always lose some performance.
